Today, on April 16th, 2024, we are thrilled to announce that Commonwealth Credit Union has been honored with a prestigious Governor's Service Award in the Business Service category. This accolade recognizes our unwavering commitment to community involvement, innovation, volunteerism, and monetary support, showcasing our dedication to bettering lives.

Empowering Communities Through Partnership

One initiative that epitomizes our commitment to community empowerment is our partnership with the Metropolitan College program. This collaboration, which was the centerpiece of our Governor’s Service Award nomination, aims to provide financial education and support to College students, enabling them to navigate their educational journey with confidence and financial security.

Through the High Five program, developed in collaboration with Metropolitan College and UPS, we offer students access to financial services, educational resources, and personalized support. From budgeting assistance to financial literacy courses, our Wealth Ambassadors work hand in hand with students to cultivate sound financial habits and empower them for success.

Since its inception, the High Five program has touched the lives of over 2,700 Metropolitan College students, providing them with not only financial stability but also essential life skills for long-term success. This program exemplifies our commitment to fostering a brighter, more secure future for the next generation of leaders in Kentucky.

Today, as we accepted the Governor's Service Award, we are humbled and honored to be recognized for our efforts in serving our community. This award is a testament to the dedication and passion of every member of our CCU team, whose unwavering commitment to service drives us forward each day.
