The 2025 Annual Meeting of Commonwealth Federal Credit Union will be held on Tuesday, June 24th at 6:00 p.m. EDT. The meeting will be held in person at our Louisville Road Branch located at 1425 Louisville Road, Frankfort, KY 40601.

Board of Directors Nominees
The Nominating Committee has nominated the following members for vacancies on the Board of Directors. The following nominations are for a two-year term.
Jackie G. Duvall is Associate Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator at Kentucky State University, where she plays a key role in advancing athletic programs and organizational culture. Her leadership experience spans roles at Frankfort Independent Schools, Shelby County Public Schools, and the Cabinet for Health and Family Services. Jackie is actively engaged in community and professional service, including involvement with Family Circle, Inc., the KSU Staff Senate, the NCAA Division II Track and Field Championships Committee, and the Athletic Director Association Mentoring Program. She is also a member of the Frankfort Optimist Club and the Franklin County Just Say Yes initiative. Jackie’s contributions to athletics were recognized with her induction into the Kentucky Track and Cross Country Association Hall of Fame. With a strong background in leadership, program development, and community engagement, Jackie is committed to bringing her experience and passion for service to the Board of Directors of Commonwealth Credit Union.

Karen Harbin serves as President/CEO of Commonwealth Credit Union, where she has led the organization to over $2.5 billion in assets and a membership of more than 135,000. Under her leadership, the credit union has earned repeated recognition, including five appearances on Forbes’ America’s Best-In-State Credit Unions list since 2018, multiple Best Places to Work in Kentucky honors, and two consecutive years on Newsweek’s list of America’s Best Credit Unions. Karen is deeply involved in both the credit union industry and her community. She currently serves as Chair of the Central Kentucky American Heart Association, Chair of the Shriners Hospital for Children Medical Center Corporate Council, and Board Member for both the Baptist Health System of Kentucky and Indiana and the Eastern Kentucky University Foundation. A former appointee to the Federal Reserve Board’s Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council, she continues to shape the industry as Treasurer of Kentucky’s Credit Unions Board and Vice Chair for America’s Credit Unions. Karen brings a wealth of leadership, financial expertise, and community commitment to the Board of Directors.

Joe Brewer is Director of Technology at the University of Kentucky’s College of Design and principal at Cite Design Group. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses focused on design technology and innovative construction methods, while also leading community-based design/build projects across Kentucky and internationally. His research explores how emerging technologies can improve efficiency and quality in the architecture, construction, and engineering (ACE) industry. Joe is especially passionate about using technology to support decentralized, equitable decision-making and sustainable governance in communities worldwide. In addition to his academic and research work, Joe’s private design practice addresses challenges faced by at-risk populations globally. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Bachelor of Architecture, and a Master of Architecture, all from the University of Kentucky. Joe and his wife, Sabrina, live in Richmond, Kentucky, with their three children. A dedicated member of Commonwealth Credit Union for over 13 years, Joe brings a unique blend of innovation, education, and community service to the Board of Directors.
