Commonwealth Credit Union is proud to be the Presenting Sponsor of Frankfort's beloved Candlelight Weekend again this year! Mark your calendar for the second weekend in November and visit Downtown Frankfort for the kickoff of the holiday season. Shop, eat, and play local!

Heading downtown for the festivities and want to be prepared? Be sure to plan ahead for this fun-filled weekend! Below, we break down some of the highlights of each evening, but be sure to check out the full list of activities so you don't miss out!

🎄 Thursday, November 12: 
5:00 – 8:00 pm 

• Petting Zoo on Broadway Street
• Life-Size Snow Globe on Old State Capitol Lawn (Thursday only!)
• Santa Visits on the Old State Capitol Lawn (Left side of the lawn) – 5PM-8PM
• Lighting of the Christmas Tree Ceremony – 6:30PM
  

🎄 Friday, November 13: 
5:00 – 9:00 pm 

• Horse Carriage Rides – 5PM-8PM
• Cozy Pajama Themed Stroll “Sip & Shop” (sponsored by CCU) 5PM-9PM – Free Shuttle Rides are being offered. Sip & Shop Passports at Various Businesses
  
• Santa will be strolling along Broadway, St. Clair Street, & Main Street greeting kids from 5-8 PM!
• More Holiday Characters with Photo Opportunities
  

🎄 Saturday, November 14: 
3:00 – 8:00 pm 

• Polar Express Pajama Party at the Grand Theatre with Santa Visits afterwards – 3PM
• Santa will be strolling along Broadway & St. Clair Street, greeting kids from 5-7 PM!
• Liberty Hall on the Mall: Live Holiday Bluegrass Music Concert on St. Clair performed by  (sponsored by Liberty Hall) – 6PM-8PM
• Nutcracker performance on St. Clair Street at 5PM hosted by Kentucky Dance Academy
• Holiday Booths on St. Clair Street – 5PM-8PM
• Horse Carriage Rides – 5PM-8PM
• Petting Zoo – 5PM-8PM

Letters to Santa

Want to make sure your kids' letters get to the big guy? Bring them with you and drop them off in our special North Pole mail box, or drop them off at any Commonwealth Credit Union branch. You can even print this letter off to help them get started.
