Financial Service Representative - Louisville Rd Office

We have a career opportunity available for a Financial Service Representative (FSR), at the Louisville Road office. We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and sales-oriented professional to join our team. In addition to being able to obtain insurance licensing, the candidate must be dependable, have excellent communication skills, and should be able to work in a multifunctional, team environment, representing the Credit Union in a professional manner through image, communication, and knowledge.

General Function:

Accurately performs financial transactions affecting the accounts or loans of credit union members, in accordance with established policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Represents the credit union in a professional manner. Maintains acceptable cash/negotiable balancing standards, examines checks for endorsements and other features, follows internal controls to safeguard credit union funds and assets, consistently maintains cross-selling standards and organizes work and maintains accurate records.

Demonstrates leadership qualities and strong communication skills. Responds in a professional and pleasant manner to member and co-worker problems or concerns. Opens/closes memberships and accounts. Takes loan applications and obtains the appropriate documentation and information. Performs loan and account functions in accordance with credit union policies, procedures, and applicable laws and holds a standard level of lending authority. Demonstrates the ability to make sound lending decisions matching the best product for the member’s needs. Maintains department cross-selling standards

Assist members with IRA and Certificate Portfolios, fulfill related reporting requirements, ensure rules and regulatory compliance are followed and assist other staff members in the proper preparation and completion of IRA documents.

“This position requires the individual to provide detailed information on Home Equity and/or Mortgage Loans; therefore, NMLS registration will be required. If the individual is not currently registered, they will need to pass the applicable background screening to be registered. This screening may be different than what was required for the individual to become employed by the Credit Union.”

Education / Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum of two years-related experience
  • Licensed or eligible for license to become an agent for limited line credit
  • Must be bondable, successfully pass required background screenings and must be able to obtain/maintain required certifications/licenses applicable to position
  • Must annually attend the necessary training, pass examinations, and maintain compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) Policy
