Financial Service Representatives (FSR) at the St. Matthews Branch

Commonwealth Credit Union in Louisville, Kentucky has a full-time position available for a Financial Service Representative (FSR), at the St. Matthews Branch. We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and sales-oriented professional to join our team. This individual must be eligible to obtain insurance licensing. In addition to dependability and excellent communication skills, this individual should also be able to work in a multifunctional, team environment and must represent the Credit Union in a professional manner, through image, communication, and knowledge.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Actively cross-selling services to meet or exceed sales and service standards
  • Providing a variety of services to meet member needs including the processing and closing of loans and the opening and maintenance of accounts and teller transactions;
  • Deliver a high level of service to our members;
  • Open all types of accounts; process applications, conduct preliminary underwriting, submit loan applications and make recommendations for approval;
  • Analyzing financial information;
  • Establish and negotiate the terms under which credit will be granted, including cost, repayment method, and collateral requirements within policy;
  • Processing various requests for check orders, counter checks, Auto Check, electronic services, and other types of account maintenance;
  • Completing all documentation associated with both loans and accounts accurately, legibly, and thoroughly;
  • Maintaining organization with work;
  • Accurately perform financial transactions on member accounts or loans;

Part-Time Teller - Hamburg Branch

Commonwealth Credit Union has and opportunity available for a Part-Time Teller, at our Hamburg Branch in Lexington Kentucky.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Accurately perform financial transactions on member accounts or loans
  • Balance cash and negotiable instruments each business day
  • Follow internal controls established to safeguard Credit Union funds and assets
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to focus on quality and accuracy
  • Provide informed responses to questions and additional information as required to properly answer inquiries
  • Obtain appropriate documentation and information to complete requests
  • Possess the ability to respond in a professional and pleasant manner when problems or concerns are expressed
  • Greet incoming and waiting members in a friendly and professional manner
  • Demonstrate initiative in gaining knowledge of Credit Union products, services, and software systems
  • Cross sell Credit Union products and services that will benefit members
  • Communicate effectively with members, properly identifying, greeting, and addressing them by name at least three times during each transaction, and repeating the transaction back

Accounting Manager

We have an opportunity for an Accounting Manager, in our Accounting Department, located at our Sower Boulevard office in Frankfort., KY. We are looking for a self-disciplined, highly motivated professional, who is proactive and will partner with employees and leadership. This individual must possess integrity, credibility, and a commitment to Commonwealth Credit Union's mission. Must be willing to serve as liaison between the Credit Union and regulatory authorities and external auditors. Willing to take an active and hands-on approach in the specific areas of financial recording, reporting, and compliance, with an emphasis on staff development and team leadership. This individual must be analytical, organized, and have the ability to problem solve in a fast-paced and multifunctional environment, while maintaining a passion to serve.

Education / Experience:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
  • Five or more years of supervisory experience in the credit union, or similar financial institution field of work, supervising at least 5 people.
  • Five or more years of experience in applying analytical and problem solving techniques within the credit union, or comparable financial institution experience.
  • Technologically savvy with experience overseeing software installations and managing relationships with vendors; advanced knowledge of accounting software.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data.
  • Ability and desire to translate complex accounting concepts to individuals at all levels including non-finance managers.
  • Thorough understanding of compliance as it relates to credit union policies, procedures and applicable regulations.
  • Must be bondable, successfully pass required background screenings and must be able to obtain/maintain required certifications/licenses applicable to position.
  • Must annually attend the necessary training, pass examinations, and maintain compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) Policy.

  • Financial Recording & Reporting: Ensure that accurate and reliable financial information is generated. Is a positive role model in communication, ethics, teamwork, and service; communicates effectively with members and staff at all levels. We have an opportunity available for 2 full-time Financial Service Representatives (FSR) in the new U of L Campus Branch in Louisville Kentucky. We are looking for self-disciplined, highly motivated, outgoing, enthusiastic, energetic and sales-oriented professionals to join our TEAM 1. Must have excellent communication skills and be willing to work in a multifunctional environment. Will be responsible for Sales, Transactions, Member Service and New Account and Loan processing.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Must actively cross-sell services to meet or exceed sales and service standards

Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO)

Would you like the opportunity to work in the Central Kentucky area? Commonwealth Credit Union has a full-time Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) position available in our Mortgage Department in Frankfort Kentucky. Qualified applicants must be highly motivated, demonstrate and support the credit union movement, in a sales and service cultured Team 1 environment.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Answering incoming phone line
  • Inputting mortgage loan applications
  • Processing conventional, FHA/VA/KHC Mortgage files
  • Requesting mortgage appraisals
  • Request credit bureau reports
  • Prepare lien and loan documents relating to loan closings
  • Type letters and other correspondence
  • Answer questions and resolve problems relating to mortgage loan files
  • Interview prospective loan applicants
  • Interact with Realtors on new purchase transactions
  • Coordinate loan closings with the closing attorney
  • Solicit new mortgage business and build referral network
  • May cover more than one Branch and travel may be required between branches

Necessary Skills:

  • Two years mortgage origination experience required
